1. Enable or disable the notification function in the Mateline settings.
   1. Touch the profile photo in the upper left corner.
   2. Touch SETTINGS, and touch New message.

      If is displayed on the right of New message, the notification function is enabled. If is displayed, the notification function is disabled.

      

   3. (Optional) Touch Notification sound, select a notification sound, and touch SAVE.

      

2. Enable or disable the notification function in the mobile phone settings.

   For example, on a Huawei phone, go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Notifications management > Mateline > Notifications, and enable the Allow notifications. Then enter the notification type, set the style of the notification and banner. If you do not want to receive a notification, you can disable the Allow notifications.

   NOTE:

   Only when both the notification settings in Mateline and mobile phone are enabled at the same time, the Mateline receives the new message notification.

   Enabling the message notification function helps you to receive the latest task notification in time to ensure SLA achievements.

On the Task screen, touch the button in the upper right corner to view other tasks from the same site.

Some phones will clear or stop apps to release system resources or disable the network permission of background apps during the app background running. As a result, apps cannot continuously report locations or update online status. To ensure that Mateline is not cleared during the background running, perform the following operations. Different settings are provided for different mobile phones. The following describes the settings of common mobile phone models.

Different settings are provided for different mobile phones. This section uses the EMUI model as an example to describe how to enable Mateline network continues running in background.

1. Touch Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile network.
2. Select Mateline in the data traffic ranking list.
3. Enable Background data as shown in the following figure:

   

1. Access to my location switch in the phone refers to the general switch for apps to obtain the location information, and does not focus on the technical means of obtaining the location information. The technical means of obtaining the location information includes GPS, Beidou, Wi-Fi, and base station LBS.

   If you disable this switch, all apps (including Mateline) cannot obtain location information.

   

2. In addition, the mobile phone operating system provides a separate location service switch for each app. When both general switch and separate switch of Mateline are enabled, the location service of Mateline can be used.
3. The Report location function in the Mateline refers to periodically uploading the user location information collected by Mateline to the cloud server, so that the intelligent scheduling engine and the dispatcher of the system can dispatch tasks more efficiently.

Therefore, the location information of FMEs can be reported to the server only when the preceding three switches are enabled. Whether the switch should be enabled depends on the local project requirements and relevant laws and regulations.

In addition, the relationship between mobile data switch and the GPS/Location switch is as follows.

NOTE:

The general location switch of a mobile phone is on the toolbar. The switch names vary according to mobile phones. For example: GPS or location.

If the location switch is disabled, the mobile phone system and all apps cannot locate the user by GPS, LBS, or Wi-Fi.

If mobile attendance function fails, perform the following steps to improve the positioning accuracy:

1. Enable the GPS positioning function.
2. Enable the Wi-Fi function.
   NOTE:

   You only need to enable Wi-Fi function and do not need to connect to a Wi-Fi. The system searches for nearby Wi-Fi and matches with the coordinate library to improve positioning accuracy.

3. Try outdoor.

   When the weather is clear, the GPS signal is the strongest. If the sky is not clear, the GPS signal may be weak. As a result, the positioning can be inaccurate.
